Lutheran Malaria Initiative
This year our Vacation Bible School had a mission project: the Lutheran Malaria Initiative.
So far we have raised over $500!
We would like to keep this mission project going and raise even more money and here is why:.
Every 45 seconds a child dies from malaria.
Malaria has a devastating effect on people living in poverty.
People are too sick to work or parents are forced to stay home to take care of sick children.
This is a major barrier to people trying to lift themselves out of poverty.
Christ calls for us to work with the most vulnerable and to give love, care and help to those suffering among us.

The Lutheran Malaria Initiative helps people in Africa by providing anti-malarial medications, paying for malaria prevention messages on a local radio station, training health care workers to diagnose and treat malaria, and providing treated bed nets.
